If I had to pick one thing I’d want an average person to know about astrology, it’d be the awareness of eclipses.
While it’s important to keep in mind the mainstream topic of Mercury retro dates, it’s even more important to circle the eclipses in your planner. There’s no astrological event as powerful as these guys.
A Mercury retro simply drives us crazy from time to time and requires us to take deep breaths. Eclipses, on the other hand, can flip everything in our lives by 360 degrees, leaving no way back. And the less attention you pay to your action and eclipse dates, the harder you’ll get hit.
The Universe is not stupid and always knows what we need better than we do (I wish it could tell me what to have for dinner more often though).
Like Santa, the Universe sees when we’re sleeping, it knows when we’re awake. It knows when we’re running in a toxic circle and need to get out. It knows when we need a magic push.
In other words, it gets us in situations we didn’t ask for, but desperately need for our growth and development.
Eclipses come in two shapes and sizes – Lunar and Solar.
Lunar eclipses close the doors that need to be closed. So, be prepared to let things go. During a Lunar eclipse you may face stuff like breakups, layoffs, any type of situations that mean “The End.” The ends in a case of a Lunar eclipse also have no ways back.
But remember that losing on many occasions actually mean gaining, so keep that chin up. You just cleared yourself a path for new beginnings.
Solar eclipses, on the other hand, bring new opportunities and launch long-term situations. You may get a shiny new job offer, receive some information that will start up a boiling pot of project ideas in your head or simply hear news about your relatives giving birth/getting pregnant.
Eclipses always come in pairs, a couple of weeks apart from each other. To keep our lives being something more than black and white.
The tricky part, though, is that most of these situations we don’t plan for. They feel like they come out of nowhere at an awkward timing, when we’re least prepared to handle the truth and shift gears. However, eclipses don’t always follow their schedule. Sometimes they hit a month later, so stay on your toes. So, even if you were good and circled all the eclipse dates in your calendar, leave some wiggle room.
On a lighter note, we don’t have to feel the effects of every single eclipse out there. If we stay on our tracks and strive to be the best versions of ourselves, the Universe will leave us alone and let us breath from time to time.
And that is why it’s extremely important to keep track of the eclipse dates. The situations might not get easier to handle, but you sure will be mentally more prepared for a change. Knowing this is just a necessary shift will give you hope, trust me. It will help you remind yourself that difficulties are just phases.
